Physical Therapist Role Summary:The purpose of this position is to serve as a Physical Therapist for Evergreen Sport & Spine Physical Therapy.This includes quality patient care adhering to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Major Goals:
To be efficient, pleasant, courteous, and helpful to all patients and staff at all times.
To see that all patients get the best care and treatment.
To have patients leave in better health and appearance than their arrival.
To educate patients and staff on proper health care and health care options.
To see that appointments remain on schedule by being prepared and being proactive.
To ensure that all required forms are completed regarding treatment and services for referrals and insurances.
To identify and correct inefficiencies in clinic processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Follow all policies and procedures
Meet and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
Work in accordance with Physical Therapy rules and regulations
Provide a positive and professional image at all times
Patient care:
Evaluate and treat patients to the best of your ability
Develop treatment plans and goals for the patient
Request support from other PTs as needed
Document treatment per procedure; be timely, efficient, concise and clear
Educate patients
Contact patients that have not returned to therapy as follow-up
Communicate with doctors/referrals as needed
Keep up with continuing education
Give and attend in-services
Learn from and educate other PTs
Ensure proper charges identified per patient
Ensure number of allowable visits not exceeded
Work with Billing Manager as needed to receive payments from patients
Communicate with manager regarding clinic/patient issues
Educate and train staff for patient assistance
Find coverage for vacation days and cover for other PTs as needed
Market clinic and services oMarket to current referrals oMake 10 contacts per month to potential referal sources oDevelop individual marketing plan oGive 2 lectures per year oWrite 2 articles per year oAttend marketing meeting Other Responsibilities: ·Back-up staff when unavailable (e.g., sick, etc.)
